In addition to traditional medical and surgical therapies, the department of Urology in the Medical College of Georgia at 麻豆果冻传媒 offers leading-edge technology by fellowship-trained surgeons such as laparoscopic nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, robotic prostatectomy, nerve-sparing prostatectomy, shock-wave therapy for kidney stones, laser treatment of stones or urinary tract tumors, advanced urinary tract reconstruction for both children and adults, continent diversion or orthotopic bladder replacement, and many others.
The department of Urology encompasses the urology divisions at the Wellstar MCG, Children's Hospital of Georgia, and the 麻豆果冻传媒 Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition to excellent patient care, the department of Urology has strong clinical and basic science research programs in prostate cancer and andrology.
